How to check the condition of carbon dioxide fire extinguishers or Co2 fire extinguishers.

The fire extinguisher should be checked at least every 6 months. There are 6 inspection steps as follows:

  1. (Day/Month/Year) Enter the date of the inspection. The inspector should have basic knowledge of each type of fire extinguisher, such as (factory safety officer or general staff or fire extinguisher distributor, etc.) The inspection is to know that it has been regularly maintained. When an actual incident occurs, you can be confident to some extent that the fire extinguisher is still ready for use.
  2. (Latch and Hose) Check the latch. The fire extinguisher squeeze lever must be locked. The hose is not cracked or bent. If the condition is normal, tick /. If the condition is abnormal, tick X. Fix it to be normal before ticking / on the inspection sheet or look at the overall suitability.
  3. (Squeeze Lever and Joint) Check the fire extinguisher squeeze lever and fire extinguisher joint. They must not be rusty or bent. If the condition is normal, tick or look at the overall suitability.
  4. (Tank and Gauge Condition) Check the color of the fire extinguisher. It must be bright. The fire extinguisher tank must not be rusty, rotten, or cracked. The sticker must not be torn. Read the details clearly. If the condition is normal, tick / If the condition is abnormal, tick X. Look at the overall suitability.
  5. (Inspector’s box) Sign the name or signature of the person doing the inspection.
  6. At least every 6 months, the Co2 fire extinguisher should be weighed to check whether there is still carbon dioxide gas inside the extinguisher or how much is left. Should it need to be refilled?
